Simply put, at Emerald we do two very basic functions; we do research and manage money. However, what separates us from other asset management firms is the intense proprietary research and investment management process we employ.

Research

Emerald Research is the cornerstone of Emerald Asset Management. Our team of analysts is dedicated to providing in-depth, on-site fundamental research of primarily small to mid capitalization public companies, with specialties in the consumer, financial services, life sciences and technology sectors. We are focused on uncovering unique, under followed fast growing companies that are overlooked by traditional Wall Street research. By uncovering the `connectivity' that companies share we are able to find early investment opportunities in companies of any market capitalization. Our unique research process clearly identifies undervalued and overvalued opportunities. These companies are identified using a fundamental bottom-up research process that incorporates company meetings and discussions with the company's management, employees, customers, competitors and suppliers. The Emerald Research Team conducts over 2,000 company meetings a year. At Emerald, we firmly believe that the key to our investment success is to understand the companies we follow better than anyone else. We owe that to our clients.
