Good morning:.
Oil prices fell this morning after the Trump administration said it was open to meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during this week’s UN General Assembly. While there is hope a meeting will actually take place, President Trump also gave a friendly reminder, according to CNBC, that he could “destroy Iran’s economy or eliminate its leadership” if Tehran does not reach a deal.
Markets are up on the news … as hope increases (for the umpteenth time) that things will settle down overseas … although there is a bit of uncertainty over how the Iranians will respond upon hearing such public threats.
Do you want to bring your community together? Just announce an AI Data Center is being considered, and you will be sure to get quite a bit of people gathering to protest even the thought of having one nearby. And it is relatively easy to create letters protesting the dangers of Artificial Intelligence … for all you need to do is turn on your computer and ask AI for help.
Frankly, AI is everywhere … as its use is growing rapidly … and it appears nothing is going to stop the centers from being built. But what needs to be done … according to the article below … is smarter design … as there are some big inconveniences (such as a slow steady hum) that do affect those living close by.
Meanwhile I have my own issue.
I never heard of it before, but my foot started to hurt when I would take a step … but only sometimes … and the physician I often go to for medical advice … Dr. Google … led me to realize it is something called Plantar Fasciitis. What shocked me is I mentioned it to around 6 people this weekend and each one knew exactly what it was (and even how to pronounce it). I never heard of it before and am now addressing it.
As I get older an increasing number of health articles catch my attention and today was no exception as I often read with great curiosity that Americans do not live as long as many from other countries … even though we spend so much more on health.
Sure … we attribute this to diet … as the convenience of popping salt-laden fast food in the microwave allows us to have more time to watch Netflix shows … but it goes much deeper than that.
The last article today is a really good one … and points towards habits of Italian grandfathers … who, over the age of 80, continue with healthy lifestyles that many Americans move away from decades earlier.
It all relates to activity, friends, habits, moving around … and, yes … even wine. Hooray!
And the interesting thing is that focusing on certain things can help you not only live longer, but live better
… and it may be as easy as a simple walk in the park.
Have a great day,
